INTRODUCTION
Not only did the Etruscans influence the Romans, but the Greeks did as well. Several aspects of Greek culture found their way into the Roman culture, also due to the close proximity of Greece in relation to Rome. The major categories of these influences were architecture, writing, art, and mythology.
ARCHITECTURE
If you look up pictures of Roman architecture, you can often see use of columns, marble, and concrete. These aspects were adopted from the Greek people. If you look for them, you can see a lot of similarities to Greek columns and buildings in the Roman architecture.
WRITING
The Roman people were also influenced by Greek poetry. As they were influenced by the Etruscan alphabet, the literary elements of the Greek culture found their way into the daily life of the Roman people as well.
ART
The Romans were also influenced by Greek art. As you may have noted beforehand, above is a picture of a piece of Greek pottery. The Romans found the Greek people's pottery, paintings, and sculptures intriguing enough to incorporate their styles and colors into their own art pieces.
MYTHOLOGY
Greek mythology was, in my opinion, the most important and beneficial to the Romans. The Roman people, looking at the Greek's mythology, tweaked and molded their religion, gods, etc., depending on what was written in the myths. I think this is the most important because of how big religion was. Religion was a day to day practice and ritual for the people, and the fact that Greek mythology had a say in it says a lot.
EXTRA INFORMATION
By now, you may be wondering how the Roman people found out so much about the Greeks. That's a good question.
If you look at a map, you would see that Rome and Greece were fairly close to each other. This vicinity helped the Romans to learn more about the Greece. Trading also helped. By socializing with the Greek people, they found out a lot about them and learned some things they wanted to incorporate in their own daily lives.
